Dear Friends,

Aloha! I would like to invite you to join the Polynesian Cultural Center as a supporter of our 40th Anniversary Celebration Golf Tournament, to be held October 23, 2003, at the Turtle Bay Resort Golf Club - Palmer Course, site of the PGA Champions Tour Turtle Bay Championship. As a non-profit organization, 100 percent of the PCC’s revenue is used for daily operations to support the students who earn their tuition, room and board, and books. The PCC also provides significant financial support to elementary and secondary schools and to college students attending institutions of their choice besides BYU-Hawai‘i. Proceeds from this tournament will go to help provide educational opportunities for students from around the world.

I urge you to consider a sponsorship of this special event. Your company will benefit not only from the goodwill created in the community, but also from the significant positive exposure provided on the golf course and at the PCC, in printed materials, electronic media, and by our potential media partners.

Since the PCC opened its doors 40 years ago, it has welcomed both visitors and kama‘aina to share in the excitement of Polynesia and its people, while also learning about the importance of cultural exchange in fostering peace and understanding. We’re dedicated to continuing this legacy and we hope you will share in this special mission with us by helping to sponsor this event and the Center’s 40th Anniversary Celebration.

The Polynesian Cultural Center is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization chartered in 1963 for the purpose of promoting and sharing the cultures of Polynesia while also providing educational opportunities for the people of these Islands.

I have included sponsorship information and hope you will join us in celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Polynesian Cultural Center. We will follow up with you soon. If you have any questions in the meantime, please feel free to call Fred Camit in Hawaii at (808) 293-3041 or email at camitf@polynesia.com.

Mahalo and aloha,

Richard E. Marriott, Chairman
